Job Description Sabre In-Flight team is looking for an experienced and creative Lead Java developer, who will be leading a team responsible for coding and designing highly critical applications. Sabre® AirVision™ In-flight is an integrated, modular, end-to-end solution for managing all aspects of an airline’s catering and onboard provisioning processes. This team is working on a web application that’s key to helping airlines manage their processes and control costs. Responsibilities: Applies advanced skills and concepts to oversee large, complex projects, with responsibility for overseeing and directing team member’s work. Provides direction for entire team in a matrix organization. Designs, develops, tests and debugs new complex software solutions or enhancements to existing software independently under limited direction Works with a globally located team to discuss, understand and design solutions Develops prototype solutions Mentors and provides technical guidance to junior team members Works with other Airline Solution product teams and Airline Customers to integrate other Airline Solution products with Sabre In-flight May assist in development of software technical documentation. Designs and codes moderately complex applications using routine and/or advanced technology May create optimization programs to resolve problems; May design and build prototype applications Job Requirements 6 years of experience in software development Ability to lead and direct projects and delegate work to less experienced team members Familiarity with AWS (or similar cloud services) & OpenShift (or similar platforms) J2EE platform, Spring framework, Hibernate, ActiveMQ, Camel, Autosys, Oracle, JDBC, SQL Java development and build tools; Git, Gradle, JUnit, Mockito, testNG, ExtJS, TDD/BDD strongly preferred. Object-oriented design and development. Development, testing, and deployment of customer-facing applications with global users. Understanding of software design for performance, scale, and reliability. Windows and Unix/Linux basic user level experience Valued Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills and strong sense of teamwork with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team Very good interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicts Learning on-the-fly Positive attitude Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Ability to work across various technical and business teams Nice to Have: Exposure to performance optimization, DB clustering Working on highly available software Knowing Scrum/Agile principles, design patterns, refactoring techniques, test tools Machine Learning algorithms and data mining Education: Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Computer Science We will give careful consideration to your application and review your details against the position criteria.
